Western blot analysis of lysates from MCF7 cells using CD9 mAb at 1:1000 dilution incubated overnight at 4°C.
Secondary antibody: HRP-conjugated Goat anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) at 1:10000 dilution.
Lysates/proteins: 25 µg per lane.
Blocking buffer: 3% nonfat dry milk in TBST.

Confocal imaging of MCF7 cells and Raji (negative sample) cells using CD9 mAb (dilution 1:200) followed by a further incubation with Cy3-conjugated Goat anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) (dilution 1:500) (Red). The cells were counterstained with a-Tubulin Mouse mAb (dilution 1:400) followed by incubation with conjugated Goat Anti-Mouse IgG (H+L) Ab (dilution 1:500) (Green). DAPI was used for nuclear staining (Blue). Objective: 100x.
Flow cytometry: 1X10^6 CHO cells (negative control, left) and CHO (Transfection, right) cells were surface-stained with CD9 mAb (2 µg/mL, orange line) or Rabbit IgG isotype control (5 µl/Test, blue line), followed by conjugated goat anti-pAb staining. Non-fluorescently stained cells were used as blank control (red line).
Flow cytometry: 1X10^6 CHO (Transfection) cells were surface-stained with Rabbit IgG isotype control (5 µl/Test, left) or CD9 mAb (2 µg/mL, right).

Product Overview

Background
This gene encodes a member of the transmembrane 4 superfamily, also known as the tetraspanin family. Tetraspanins are cell surface glycoproteins with four transmembrane domains that form multimeric complexes with other cell surface proteins. The encoded protein functions in many cellular processes including differentiation, adhesion, and signal transduction, and expression of this gene plays a critical role in the suppression of cancer cell motility and metastasis.
