Tag Antibodies
What are Epitope Tags Epitope tags are short peptide sequences that are added to proteins of interest. The addition of these tags allows for the detection and purification of the tagged protein using specific antibodies (anti-tag antibodies). These tags are generally small and do not affect the function of the protein, making them useful tools in many research applications. Uses of Epitope Tags in Cell Biology and Immunology Epitope tags are used in cell biology and immunology. For example, by adding a tag to a protein, it can be tracked in living cells and even in animals. The most common tags used in this context are GFP, RFP and YFP.
