DescriptionEpigentek's 8-hydroxyguanosine antibody recognizes 8-hydroxyguanosine (8-OHG), a modified base which occurs in DNA as a result of oxidative stress. 8-hydroxy-2'-deoxyguanosine (8-OHdG) has become a sensitive marker of oxidative damage in cellular DNA and has been reported to be excreted in the urine. Levels of 8-OHdG have been shown to increase on exposure to ionizing radiation and tobacco smoke. Epigentek's 8-hydroxyguanosine polyclonal antibody cross reacts completely with 8-OHdG, and does not cross react with other naturally occurring nucleotides.Antibody TypeGoat PolyclonalPurificationSerum - liquidImmunogen8-Hydroxyguanosine - conjugate IsotypePolyclonal IgG Size0.1 ml
