Myc gene encodes for a transcription factor that is believed to regulate expression of 15% of all genes through binding on Enhancer Box sequences (E-boxes) and recruiting histone acetyltransferases (HATs). c-Myc is commonly activated in a variety of tumor cells and plays an important role in cellular proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis and cell cycle progression. This c-Myc antibody detects endogenous levels of total c-Myc protein and is also for detection of Myc-tagged fusion protein.
Rabbit polyclonal antibody to c-Myc, HRP conjugated
This antibody is produced by immunizing rabbits with a synthetic peptide (KLH-coupled) corresponding to the residues of c-myc.
Liguid. 1*TBS (pH7.4), 0.5% BSA, 25% Glycerol. Preservative: 0.05% Sodium Azide.
Store at 4°C after thawing. Aliquot and store at -20°C or -80°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
