GSDMD (Gasdermin D) is a member of the gasdermin family. Members of this family appear to play a role in regulation of epithelial proliferation. GSDMD is believed to act as a tumor suppressor and exhibits bacteria killing activity. Among its related pathways are innate immune system and toll-like receptor signaling pathways. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene.
