DSP-AS1 normally facilitates TET3-mediated DNA demethylation at the DSP promoter, promoting DSP expression, which is essential for wound closure. The findings suggest that restoring DSP-AS1 activity could be a potential therapeutic strategy for improving diabetic wound healing.
