FARMINGDALE, NY – December 2024 – EpigenTek has announced the launch of its latest addition to the CUT&LUNCH product line: the EpiNext™ CUT&LUNCH RNA Immunoprecipitation (RIP) Kit (P-2037), developed for the efficient analysis of RNA–protein interactions from low-input samples. The kit introduces a streamlined in situ approach for immunoprecipitating RNA-binding protein (RBP) complexes without the need for crosslinking or sonication. The method builds upon EpigenTek’s existing CUT&LUNCH technology platform, known for its use of enzyme-based chromatin cleavage in native cellular contexts. This new adaptation allows researchers to isolate and analyze RBP-associated RNAs with high specificity and minimal background by selectively removing unbound complexes after immunoprecipitation. Key features of the method include:
The kit is designed to support a broad range of RBP targets and is applicable to various research areas, including RNA metabolism, gene regulation, and post-transcriptional control mechanisms. The release follows growing interest in post-transcriptional regulation studies and reflects a broader shift toward more physiologically relevant methods for mapping protein–RNA interactions. In contrast to conventional RIP or CLIP-based methods that require chemical crosslinking and/or sonication, the CUT&LUNCH RIP approach preserves the native structure of RNA–protein complexes, potentially improving specificity and reducing technical variability. This latest development complements EpigenTek’s CUT&LUNCH DNA-focused kits for profiling chromatin-associated protein binding, further expanding the utility of in situ enzymatic cleavage technologies for epigenomic and transcriptomic research.
