Total Histone Deacetylase (HDAC)

How do you prefer to measure total HDAC activity/inhibition?

• I want to fluorometrically quantify the ratio or amount of undeacetylated histone (which is inversely proportional to HDAC enzyme activity).
• I want to colorimetrically quantify the ratio or amount of undeacetylated histone (which is inversely proportional to HDAC enzyme activity) through an ELISA-like reaction.
• I’m not really sure.
