Background Rapid and efficient preparation of DNA is crucial to a successful, DNA-based experiment. DNA samples can be prepared from cells, tissues, and body fluids, and are the most commonly used starting material for the majority of DNA methylation applications and assays. The FitAmp™ Gel DNA Isolation Kit ensures ready-to-use DNA no matter what the downstream application is. Principle & Procedure This kit simply applies our proprietary lysis and binding buffer to gel-DNA sample. After treatment with the DNA digestion buffer, the DNA is easily recovered in 8- 20 µl through our specially designed F-Spin Column. DNA is then ready for down-stream application. Starting Materials Input amount of low melting point agarose gel can be 1 ng to 1 µg, with the optimal range between 10 ng and 500 ng. Recovery rate of DNA is greater than 70% in spin column format, which can be used for any molecular biology procedures such as PCR, restriction digestion, cloning and sequencing, etc.
